Rating: 9
Thoughts: The children return to Narnia to find that time has moved much quicker there. Now they must come to the aid of the rightful King, Prince Caspian.

I always felt that this was one of the books from the series with the richest story but it's still a surprise to find they made such a long film. Most of this is taken up by battles.
It's well staged but as a PG lacks the brutality that such a long section needs. The story is of course strong and is generally well done, the lengthy battle aside. But it always feels like there is just a little something missing.
The film takes a step towards the darker side of fantasy, leaving the fairy tale parts of the first behind, but just has to adhere to the rating's limits. The cast is again strong, and the leads are excellent.
The CGI is well knitted and the whole looks great. Despite the length it never drags, but some of it does feel a bit unnecessary.
It's still a great film but not quite up to the standard set by the first.
