Title: Age Of The Dragons (12)
Year: 2011
Running Time: 91 minutes
Director: Ryan Little
Cast: Danny Glover (Ahab), Vinnie Jones (Stubb), Corey Sevier (Ishmael)
Notes: None Rating: 3
Thoughts: In a reimagining of Moby Dick, Ahab and his crew tackle a white dragon.

Glover offers quite a forced performance, overplaying his role, whilst Jones is surprisingly competent. The rest of the cast is fine, and the story does roll along.
There's a fusion of styles, as the dragons are hunted to provide fuel for the cyberpunk world they all inhabit, and the base story is of course strong. Sadly this is largely devoid of fantasy.
quasi-medievalOr cyberpunk. Aside from the dragon, there isn't much fantasy in this quasi medieval world. And aside from knowing they use the fuel, we don't really see that much evidence of it.
Their Tardis-style vessel goes along presumably based on it, but that's it. Surely they would have a lot more tech on their hands?
It boils down to this being a weak revenge tale. The setting becomes irrelevant and if I see Vinnie Jones suck on his pipe one more time...he ends up looking like a giant, scowling hobbit.
