Rating: 10

Thoughts:   In the near future the world is in chaos and women are infertile. When a pregnant woman is found a former activist agrees to help her to safety.

This is a bleak vision of not-that-far-away, futuristic ideas merged with neglect and failure.

From the outset, we are in the tense drama of it all, and that never seems to let up. Owen is dangerous, bold, vulnerable, and utterly believable throughout as he becomes the reluctant hero.

All around him, the cast is excellent, the direction is suitably moody as well. The story itself is a simple enough tale but is adapted superbly to give it the pace needed on screen.

There are a couple of gasp moments, opportunities for a few diversions, and then a return to the strong narrative. It looks great, in a bleak way, and delivers on every level.
