Thoughts: Whilst searching for a habitable planet the last humans crash on a barren world full of aliens and violent warriors.
The lead character is well played and the film is a lot about her - that's just as well as she is undoubtedly its strongest element.
The plot itself is a little simplistic, and the way the enemies play out is at times a little weak, and lacking in tactics. There are also a few things that don't make sense - all the focus is on Kate Mitra and her antics.
That's a shame as it is fairly essential for sci-fi to believe in the world but it is illogically formed. You end up thinking that the story could have been placed in almost any setting as their lack of conviction to this one devalues it considerably.
Great lead, battling against the odds both in the story and in the making of the film.
