Thoughts:   At the end of 8th Century Pagan times Libuse, with supernatural powers, founds Prague and then tries to overcome the husband she had taken, who had turned out to be a tyrant.

This is based on a legend and that is perhaps best described as loosely. That's fine, I didn't know it anyway, so they haven't shattered some sort of dream!

Everything in this film looks very nice and that's a huge feature. The two main characters are played well and you really do start to dislike Premysl as he changes when taking power.

I do have to comment on the poor sound which at times affects the storytelling. It's a careless distraction. In addition, some of the action scenes are a little weak.

The ending is a surprise or at least a sudden conclusion, and ultimately this ends with the part closest to the legend. It's a good story but at times their efforts to entertain mean that gets pushed to the background for too long.

For example, at one point they are at war and the next the King is focused only on crushing his subjects.

It's likeable but the sleeve flatters the end product.
